Introduction

In this guide, you will learn how to make pizza rolls in the microwave. This is a quick and easy way to make a delicious snack or meal. You can use any type of dough, including store-bought pizza dough and any type of cheese and toppings.

What You’ll Need

To make microwave pizza rolls, you’ll need:
-1 can of refrigerated pizza dough
-1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
-1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
-1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
-1/4 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
-1/4 teaspoon of salt
-1 tablespoon of olive oil
-1/2 cup of tomato sauce
-10 pepperoni slices

Making the Dough

The dough is the most important part of any pizza roll. It needs to be soft and pliable, but not too sticky. You should be able to roll it out into a 12-inch by 18-inch rectangle without it sticking to your rolling pin or surface.

There are a few different ways you can make pizza dough but the most important thing is to use a good quality flour. We like to use all-purpose flour for our Pizza Dough but you can also use bread flour or 00 flour if you have it.

To make the dough, you will need:
1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
1 cup warm water
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil

In a large bowl, combine the yeast and warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is dissolved. Add the flour and salt, then mix everything together until it forms a shaggy dough. Add the olive oil and mix it in until the dough is smooth.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it for 10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

Rolling Out the Dough

The first step to making your pizza rolls is to roll out the dough. You’ll want to use a rolling pin to make sure the dough is evenly rolled out. Once the dough is rolled out, use a Pizza Cutter or a knife to cut the dough into small rectangles. Then, add your favorite toppings to each rectangle. We suggest using pepperoni, onions, and cheese, but you can use whatever toppings you like!

After you’ve added your toppings, it’s time to roll up the dough. Rolling from one of the long sides, tightly roll up each rectangle of dough. Place your rolls on a microwavable plate and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the dough is cooked through. Serve with Marinara Sauce for dipping and enjoy!

Adding the Filling

Now it’s time to add your filling. You can really put anything you want inside your pizza rolls, but the most popular fillings are probably pepperoni, cheese, and sausage. If you’re using pepperoni, cheese, and sausage, you’ll want to cook the sausage first. To do that, just put it in a microwave-safe bowl and cook it for about 2 minutes on high or until it’s no longer pink in the center. Once the sausage is cooked, add it to the bowl with the pepperoni and cheese and mix everything together.

Rolling Up the Pizza Rolls

Roll each piece of dough up, jelly-roll style, starting at the shortest side. Pinch the seam and the ends to seal. Arrange the rolls, seam side down, on the prepared baking sheet Brush with the remaining 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce.

Cutting the Pizza Rolls

Pizza rolls are a quick and easy snack that can be made in the microwave.

To start, cut the pizza roll in half using a sharp knife. If the rolls are frozen, let them sit out for a few minutes to thaw slightly. This will make them easier to cut.

Next, place the pizza rolls on a microwave-safe plate and heat them for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until they are warmed through.

Once they are heated, you can enjoy your pizza rolls!
